Title of Article:
School used webcam to spy on our kid at home

Publication:
Arstechnica.com

Date of article:
02/22/2010

Short summary:
This news report primarily explains a story of a high scool, which distributed laptops to its students aiming at provinding 24/7 access to the school based resources. However, a student claimed that some schools officials have remote accessing students laptops to take webcam photos of them at home.

Issues I could find:
Should the school b responsible for a mistake of one of its staff?
Does the school have the right to spy on its students in the pupose of making sure that they behave well in their houses.
Is the right reaction to this issue to close the school or just fire who did the mistake?

My opinion:
I have to say that the schhol has nothing to do with this issue; it is a one person's mistake. Therefor, whoever made it should be punished personally. All in all, the more technology we have in the market, the more misuse it will have by the bad people.
