Short summary: This article is about a teen boy ( 18 years old ), who was arrested by the police last week and accused of posting "death threats" to his ex-girlfriend and her family. He was chrged with two counts the first one was a misdemeanor while the second a felony charge.
Issues that I could find:
Should a threat on a social networking website be taken seriously ?
Is the punishment really severe for a teen boy?
Is the boy going to be safe safe in jail or he might be ruined?
My opinion:
I totally and completely believe that the boy made a big mistake and that he should be taken seriously by the girl's family and the police alike. That said, I don't think jail is the right place for him. Further, it would be something expected if he becomes even worse after he is out of jail.
