India to collet umbilical cords for cell research

This article, India to collect umbilical cords for cell research, discussed about one way of collecting master cells through umbilical cords cut off newborn babies in India with two purposes. First, this umbilical collection will be used to create "umbilical cord banks" where doctors and scientists use master cells in different medical resarches. Second, this research will be treated in the next biotechnology conference where it will analyse the guidelines for master cells researches as a potential new way of saving people's life.

In my opinion, this is an interesting article because it refers to one of the biggest health and ethical issues in the world's history connected with stem or master cells. Nowadays, we have heard about the use of biotechnology in a negative way such as cloning animals and people. However, lots of researches are helping sick people who are expecting one oppotunity for changing their lives after suffering from severe diseases for many years such as leukaemia and anemia. Therefore, I agree with these kinds of medical researches only if they do not break down some limits of science such as cloning people or something else.
