YouTube and the copyright cops: safe...for now

The article " YouTube and the copyright cops: safe...for now?" is about copyrihgt infringement and the legitimacy of YouTube.YouTube thrives and survives for a while. One reason is that YouTube is just an "online service provider". It is protected by the laws which say ISPs are not responsible for the actions of their users. The other is that YouTube does not make profit directly from the videos. It only puts ads on pages, not in the videos. However, the case of Grokster shows that YouTube will probably lose its safe habor.

As a consumer, I like YouTube though I know sometimes it is illegal.Maybe it is the illegitimacy that makes it so popular. In my opinion, it will lose the case. But even if it lose the case, there must be somebody else trying to do similar things.I think the government, YouTube, and public should try to find a win-win solution.
