Satellite is weeks away from hitting Earth

According to the CNN.com updated on Monday, January 28, 2008. The U.S. government said a spy satellite has lost power and propulsion and could hit the Earth in late February or March. However, the satellite could contain hazardous materials, and it is unknown where on the planet it might come down. Nation Security Council said numerous satellites over the years have fallen harmlessly. Besides, they have informed the lawmakers and other nations are being apprised of the situation.

In my opinion, I think the U.S. government should take this issue seriously and be responsible for the whole situation if there will be any great damages caused by the fallen satellite. In addition, the U.S. government should have some ways to deal with a situation before they sent the satellite to the space. Although they presented
many evidences to prove that there are only few possibilities the satellite will hit the Earth or harmless to people. All in all, it is not a good example on many sides.
