Organic Agriculture Production Systems
Are you looking for the Green World! In the rapid pace of development we have cause something painful serious damage to the natural resources. We are now faced with questions such as where is that clean water? Where is that healthy crop? And where is that refreshing air? These questions are very important for human and they have to think about it. The biggest problem is healthy food. How can we get healthy and more food? It’s all about the organic agriculture. I would like to say about alternative of organic agriculture of India in my paper because alternative organic agriculture has many advantages and it will help to have healthy human life. First, organic agriculture will grow and reduce poverty in agriculture’s world because most Indians are depended on agriculture for their livelihoods directly or indirectly. Second, organic agriculture has also offered attractive business opportunities, such as high value production for national market in India as well as Bangladesh. Third, irrigation procedure in India is most popular all over the world in agriculture industry. Finally, people should encourage traditional farming or agriculture farming to the farmers.
What is organic agriculture? The organic agriculture is a holistic system that focuses on improvement of soil health use of local inputs and relatively high intensity use of local labors. Indian farmers relied on the use of crop rotation, crop residues, animal manures, green manures and biological pest controls to maintain soil productivity. Farmers face multiple challenges; they need to increase crop yields, reduce dependency on human labor, and improve farming technology and infrastructure. Every one knows India is depended on organic agriculture. Organic agriculture production systems are relayed on particular and clear for food production. Farmers, agriculture researchers, agriculture productions, agriculture ministers are basis of the organic agriculture. Ancient practices have very good process for food production, high available resources. Moreover, people who lives in Indian villages they are only depended on farming or agriculture. So if people come up with the improvement of organic agriculture practices farmers can earn better and people can live healthy with this systems.
First, organic agriculture will grow and reduce poverty in agriculture’s world because most depended on agriculture for their livelihoods directly or indirectly. Of the world’s 1.2 billion extremely poor people, 75 percent live in rural areas and for the most part they depend on agriculture, forestry, fisheries and related activities for survival. Majority of people are farmers. More farmers will grow more food and they will earn more money. They can reduce poverty by them selves. They can also invest for buying more animals because they will also help for farming instead of tractor because tractor will cost more than the tacking care of the animals. In addition, development of rural areas may contribute to the preservation of the rural landscape, the protection of indigenous cultures and traditions while rural societies could serve as a social buffer for the urban poor in periods of economic crisis or social urban unrest.
Second, organic agriculture has also offered attractive business opportunities, such as high value production for national market in India as well as Bangladesh. Farmers should use organic material or fertilizers for organic farming. For example, they should use animal’s wastes and natural wastes like leaves and roots of tree. It will very cheaper for the farmers and they can earn more money. Today, agriculture employs 75 percent of the rural work force and provides 70 percent of rural earnings. It has enormous potential to put India's economic development on a high growth trajectory (2004, para. 16). Indian government should export agriculture production to the other country so Indian economy also will grow. We can recognize that this agriculture development is skyrocket and this business not only domestic but also international based. This business joints city-to-city, state-to-state and country-to-country. For example, nowadays U.S. and India has partnership in this agriculture business and lots of employment opportunity is already raising world wide. This agriculture development will be top 3 in the World businesses for the next generation.
Third, irrigation procedure in agriculture in India is most popular all over the world in agriculture industry. Irrigation is the best procedure to get water for the agriculture, to get electricity and to get drinking water as well. For example, Indian government should build a new irrigation project in major states, which is dependent on agriculture. Water, as an input to agriculture, is critical for sustaining the food security. According to the Agriculture & Rural Developments of India says, “As efforts continued to increase the irrigation potential the country, the last 40 years to gross irrigated area reached 8-million hectares”. Indian government should think about increase the height of the Narmada Dam because the Narmada Dam is blessing for the people who lives in villages. For example, if they can increase the height of dam so more villages can get more electricity, and water for farming and drinking. In addition mostly other developed countries also using this same irrigation practice as India. This practice has lots of benefits in agriculture development. India faces the daunting task of increasing its food grain production by over 50 per cent in the next two decades. Increasing competition for water in agriculture, industry, domestic and environment uses is already manifested in inter- and intra-sector, basin, state, district and village level conflicts.
Fourth, people and government should encourage traditional farming or agriculture farming to the farmers. Motivation or encouragement can be best friend for people. For example, if people should encourage the traditional farming to the other people so people can get quality food for hunger world. According to Smt. Pratibha Patil “there is also a need to learn to respect and encourage the traditional wisdom of our farmers and their traditional farming practices particularly in water consecration measures.” In addition water supply must time to time for the farming in all villages also seed and grain banks. For example, water supply must time to time for the farming in all villages also seed and grain banks. In addition, the president of India says that we must continue to enable village communities to conserve their bio-diversities in the field of gene banks and preserve water, seeds and grains in village water, seed and grain bank. Indian agriculture should hire some researchers for the provide knowledge or new method of farming to the farmers. They should go to village to village and they should teach new method for the farming. Such as, new method of farming could solve the problem of more use of chemical fertilizers, which can damaged field as well as food.
My opponents of organic agriculture say India is poor country and people from rural area can’t afford enough money for organic agriculture. People neither have enough money to buy farming machinery nor tacking care of their animals. However, this is not a true because Indian government has lots of new methods and solution for the farmers, who are not able to spend enough money for their farming practices. The government of India provide Krishi loan as well as they give lots of benefits to the farmers. For example, government offers without interest loan for the farmers, education loan for their children to study and provide new technologically farming equipment as low as actual price.
In conclusion, organic agriculture is the best way to get organic food. Organic agriculture will grow and reduce poverty in agriculture’s world because most depended on agriculture for their livelihoods directly or indirectly. Organic agriculture has also offered attractive business opportunities. Irrigation procedure in agriculture in India is most popular all over the world in agriculture industry. People and government should encourage traditional farming or agriculture farming to the farmers. According to Swift Et Al, (1994) “Agro biodiversity is the most potential option for the sustainability for the agriculture production system “ (Para. 2). In the future there is a growing demand for organic food will increase. The interest in organic agriculture in developing country is growing because it’s more reliable on the nature. After all it will greatest impact of organic agriculture on the people’s mind.
