Online game incubates philanhropy

I found this article in MSNBC. The author mentions that there is a game called "Karma Tycoon". It is a free online game created by DoSomething.org. Unlike other online games, the main purpose of this game focuses on "volunteerism" and tries to help kids "not into killing people or racing cars". If you want to play this game, you have to pick up one type of nonprofit to manage and to reach a goal. In conclusion, playing this game can help people to learn how to set up their budget and to know the value of money.

I tried to play this game. The registration is very easy. I just filled in the username and password which I want, and also filled in my email. I received a confirm mail after I finished the registration. After I confirmed the registration, I could play this game by using the usernme and password that I chose to login the game. First of all, I must chose a place to start my nonprofit. I chose Columbus, Ohio because it is the easiest place that set up in this game. Second, I selected the Homeless Shelter to administrate. At the first time I didn't know how to play, but they showed some hints that helped me to play this game. The goal of the Homeless Shelter is to deal with the homeless problem. I have to care about the budget and expenses to keep this organization going. Also I have to find some grant to give me money to keep my nonprofit working. It is a good game, I think.
