Using your mobile over an hour a day 'can harm hearing'

According to Macrae (2007, September 23) in his article on Daily Mail, we can have injury with using our mobile over an hour day. Research demonstrates that people who frequently use cellphone for longer than an hour a day have difficulty to hear. Also the other research which compared the hearing of young cell phone users and non users provides long terms regular users do not well make a distinction of sounds especially high-frequency sounds such as words including s,f,h,t and z. The problem was obviously in the right ear. When we recognize ear warming, ringing or feeling it is clogged up, they can be consider a sign of illness. Despite opponent’s assertion, the researcher claimed that we have to use mobile when necessary. On the other the Mobile Operators Association denies this research.

Today cell phone is the necessary of life. Naturally we can live without mobile, but we have to be ready to suffer. Because modern society requires more and more cell phone to use. Now, we are in the digital world. Improvement of science and technology allow us convenience life, however it also produces several disadvantages. Most disadvantages relates on our health. Macrae’s article is an example of this one. We need to be cautious about the improvement of technology, because we only tend to pursue more and more convenience. However convenience is not only a way to live. Sometimes we can found our life’s value in discomfort. Discretion is our attitude to live in a social upheaval.
