Valentine's Day bring out hard-liners, confectionary critters

I found this article from CNN. As you read this article, it is about various Valentine's Day's celebration in all of the world. The day of Valentine is begin as essential Christian holiday but nowadays, it is celebrated the world over.
In Japan's case, February 14 is a day when women buy gifts for their men. And they want to give some special chocolate for their men like bugs shape. In Korea, there are lots of chocolate from china because it is cheaper than other maker. Saudi Arabia has banned any celebration about Valentine's days because of religious reason. There is interesting research about Valentine's days in America. About eight million Americans have sent themselves a gift on Valentine's Day.
Many people who want to protect tradition value from "westernization" argue that Valentine's day is just worked for confectioner and destroy traditional custom.

When I read this article, I really interested in this issue because I have a romantic memory about Valentine's day. Not only me but also someone else who have spent Valentine's day with his(her) lover have some special memory about that. Even if I have good memory about Valentine's day, I worried about it because Valentine's day is too commercialism. Valentine's day is for lover but they worried about money for present. And some people are concerned about destroy of tradition value. So I would like to talk about whether Valentine's day is good or not.
