"Kaigarajima island is a minuscule dot among the Habomai islets, which are part of the disputed Northern Territories. It is just 3.7 kilometers off the Cape Nosappu at teh tip of the Nemuro Peninsula in eastern Hokkaido. Japan claims sovereignty over the Northerb Territories, but Russia effectively controls them.
Early Wednesday in Aug 16, a Russian border patrol boat fired on a Japanese crab boat operating in water close to Kaigarajima,shooting dead one member of the four-man crew.The Russian outhorities seized the Japanese vessel, which was based in the port of Nemuro and detained the remaining crew members. The ship was operating in an area that has been subject to a long standing border dispute between the two countries.
According to Russian news reports, the Sakhalin maritime security authorities had noticed a suspicious boad and fired warning shots. But it is not clear whether the shooting was really intended as a warning nor if the crab boat was actually taking crab from the water.
Japan's foreign ministry summoned Mikhail Galuzin Russia's acting ambassador in Tokyo, to protect the shooting calling the incidenta an extraordinary act. The ministry demanded the immediate release of the three fishermen."

When I read this article I wondered whether this shooting was a resignedly case or not. In my opinion I think this is not resignedly case. Because we have to think people"s life more havily. We don't know shooting was really intended as a warning, but I think they had to think about human's life. I am no saying it becasuse the man who was killed is Japanese. All I want to say is we need to think about olife more. recently lots of cruel things are happened and lots of people are dying because of that. I think these things happen because most people don't think about people's life.
